The Three Step Procedure

The site visit

Visiting an intersection to determine the need for a traffic light requires a thorough analysis of the traffic flow and potential safety risks, number of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. Assess the intersection design and layout, including visibility, road width, and obstacles.

Procurement & Civil Works

It is important to identify the best equipment and materials necessary for the project. It also helps to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate favorable terms with contractors. Civil works are necessary so that the site is adequately prepared for the installation of the traffic light to ensure its stability and durability.

Commissioning

This process involves functionality testing to ensure that the lights work correctly and meet safety standards. Commissioning is vital for road user safety, preventing accidents due to malfunctioning lights or faulty installations. It also keeps traffic flowing smoothly and reduces congestion.
